Erin is currently Head of Business Development at Aberdeen Science Centre, a five-star visitor attraction and charity in the heart of Aberdeen. This role focuses on generating income for the centre, predominantly through the contracting and delivery of corporate events, in addition to liaising with sponsors and managing the on-site retail offering.
She has been employed within the tourism and hospitality industry since the age of 18, starting as a seasonal tour guide at the Highland Park Distillery in Orkney, before moving to Aberdeen to study for a degree in International Tourism Management. This degree provided the opportunity to live and work at a country club in New York for the majority of 2016, gaining valuable experience in the States. Following graduation in 2017, Erin began her journey in sales as a hotel reservations assistant before making the move to AECC, joining the team launching the brand new P&J Live venue. A focus on the local corporate event market then led to a move to Aberdeen Science Centre in early 2020, where the team have prioritised becoming an established event venue as well as a five-star experience for locals and tourists alike.
