Jillian is an experienced leader with a history of working across private, public, and most recently third sector organisations. Skilled in leading teams across communications, marketing, brand strategy, fundraising, membership, and business development.
Jillian is currently Service Manager – Culture, Events and Tourism with Stirling Council, overseeing the delivery of Stirling’s Cultural and Events Strategy and through the high performance of key cultural venues including Albert Halls, Tolbooth and the National Wallace Monument. Jillian is also leading on the recovery and growth of Stirling’s Tourism economy.
Before joining Stirling Council, Jillian was Marketing Team Lead with Falkirk Community Trust, with responsibility for leading the team to deliver on the marketing and communications activity for Arts (FTH Theatre, Hippodrome Cinema), Heritage (Callendar House, Kinneil Museum), Libraries and Parks (Callendar Park, Kinneil Estate, Muiravonside Country Park, Helix Park – Home of the Kelpies) and events.
Previously, Jillian was responsible for the membership and engagement strategy at RSPB Scotland and has a keen interest in environmental issues having spent some time at Energy Saving Trust delivering campaigns on behalf of the Scottish Government to combat fuel poverty and influence sustainable behaviour change.
Jillian is passionate about tourism having spent 13 years at VisitScotland and Angus & Dundee Tourist Board in marketing, operational, product development, and business tourism roles. Before this working in the hotel, conference, and visitor attractions sector in the northeast of Scotland.
