Pauline Young Managing Director Mackintosh at the Willow

For the last 3 years Pauline Young has been Managing Director at Mackintosh at the Willow (MAW) in Glasgow, which is the last remaining tea rooms in the world, designed by the esteemed and world-renowned architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh (CRM).

Following a £10m refurbishment the previously derelict tea rooms reopened to the public in 2018 as a living/breathing museum enabling modern day visitors to have an experience as close as possible to what CRM had intended for the patrons when the tea rooms originally opened in 1903.

After graduating from University with an Honours Degree in Economics & Finance, Pauline became a Chartered Management Accountant in 2003, she has gained wide-ranging experience from working in various sectors including, Industrial and Corporate, rising to Director level, prior to taking on the exciting role of running MAW, a multi-faceted heritage hospitability, not for profit destination, of which she is also a Company Director.

Pauline is passionate about Scotland and all that we have to offer to visitors from both near and far!
