Salary: £18,525 - £22,000
The purpose of the post is to ensure the effective day to day operation of V&A Dundee’s Membership programme, providing excellent customer service to our members whilst contributing to a wide range of activities to enable the organisation to maximise membership revenue. With specific responsibility for membership delivery including sales, data processing, events delivery, and administrative operations such as membership fulfilment and mailings, the post holder will also contribute to the administration of corporate membership.
Working hours will be 37.5 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
Attend and play a key role in the cross departmental membership working group
Contribute to the development of membership promotion, sales, upsell and retention strategies
Work with colleagues in other departments (including Visitor Operations and Audiences & Media) to ensure timely completion of tasks to maximise membership revenue
Provide effective administration to support the day-to-day operation of the membership programme.
Provide outstanding customer service, answering member queries via email and taking sales calls from current and new members
Process applications to membership, recording member data using the CRM
Prepare membership reports as required such as membership income / expenditure, activities, and uptake of member benefits.
Fulfilment of V&A Dundee Membership and Corporate Membership applications and mailings (i.e. sending out members cards etc)
Draft content for member E- communications and relevant website material.
Co-ordinate the delivery and communication of member events.
Assist the Development Co-ordinator with corporate member enquiries, corporate member data processing as required and preparing e news for corporate members
Ensuring sufficient stocks of membership and other fulfilment materials
Liaise with the Victoria & Albert Museum Membership team
Any other duties that may be reasonably requested by the Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships

Numerical skills to facilitate working with financial data relating to membership
Excellent planning and organisational skills; prioritising, managing reactive work, balancing multiple requirements and adapting to unexpected situations
Administration skills to ensure efficient processing of applications
Self-motivated but with ability to work as part of a team
Excellent skills in MS Office, Excel and Outlook and handling of modern office practices and procedures
Experience in a relevant environment (marketing, charity, fundraising, etc)
Principles relating to charitable giving
Relevant legislation (GDPR, TPS, MPS, FoI) relating to use of data
Working with databases in a customer-oriented capacity to fulfil specific operational needs
Fulfilling customer service role in externally-facing environment and in response to phone and mail enquiries
Experience of relevant environment (marketing, charity, fundraising, membership etc)
Processes and procedures for event development and delivery
Degree or equivalent qualification
Managing large volumes of data to carry out mailings and invitations
Working with complex financial data to produce reports
Supporting development of web content and maintenance of websites
Editing and writing for external audiences
