Mid-April to September

Are you interested in heritage, working with people and learning new things? Then becoming a tour guide/visitor assistant at Dalkeith Palace may be for you! You will lead guided tours of the Palace, exploring the ancient and more recent history of this beautiful building and its many inhabitants. You will also assist with invigilation, meeting and greeting of visitors and duties related to providing a safe and enjoyable visit to the palace.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for culture, heritage and people. While candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in art, history and/or architecture, full training will be provided.

Hours will be part-time and will vary (including weekends) depending on bookings and as we develop our offering.
