Job Purpose
To maximise our visitors’ enjoyment of National Trust for Scotland managed properties by maintaining excellent standards of service, optimising opportunities to generate income and ensuring that the site and its assets are safe and secure.

We are currently looking for a part time Catering Assistant with a genuine willingness to provide a world-class visitor experience to join our existing catering team, this role would include weekends.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have the following essential skills and experience:

– Previous experience within a catering sector, in a customer focused environment

– Sales experience including cash handling and the ability to operate a PC based till (training provided)

– Barista training (preferred but not essential)

– Excellent communication skills

– Effective lone working and as part of a team

– Excellent organisation skills while working under pressure

– Ability to be adaptable in a fast-paced environment

– Ability to stay up to date with Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Food regulations

– Ability to communicate both written and orally

We are looking for individuals who will enjoy working in a busy and dynamic bar environment during the Jupiter Rising Festival at Jupiter Artland from Friday 27 – Saturday 28 August.

Shifts will be organised around bar opening times:
Friday: 3pm-12am
Saturday: 11am-12am

An exciting opportunity exists to lead a small catering team within Chatelherault Country Park.

You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the catering and bar provision within Chatelherault Country Park, this includes:

This post requires regular evening and weekend shifts to meet the needs of the venue.

The ability to lead a team in a motivated and enthusiastic manner is essential to the requirements of the post.

You must have a proven track record of supervising and overseeing all operational aspects of events including conference, banqueting, weddings.

We are looking for professional and motivated individuals to represent one of Dumfries & Galloway’s finest tourist destinations during the 2021 season.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hospitality experience at a beautiful visitor attraction. As Kitchen Assistant, you will help with food preparation and carry out a range of other general duties, like cleaning, dishwashing, recycling and stock moving. If you are enthusiastic with a positive attitude, then we would love to hear from you!
