The role

To lead and manage communications team activities in support of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS)’s vision and mission as a leading wildlife conservation charity. Promote Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park as world class visitor attractions and gateways to nature and RZSS as an international leader in conservation and science, growing brand awareness, income and support, and safeguarding our brand reputation.

Some of the things you’ll do:

* Contribute to and support the implementation and delivery of the communications strategy and annual communications plan to meet agreed engagement targets

This role will drive creative marketing campaigns using customer and market insights and content creation. Leading on the brand and marketing for the attraction, ensuring campaigns coincide with our guests needs, helping generate enquiries driving growth and revenue.

As an ambassador for the attraction, this role will build strong relationships with local organisations and industry bodies, networking and reputation building will be key.

Key responsibilities of the role:

To work with other key marketing/tourism agencies and partners in the area to uphold the reputation of the attraction and help to drive visitation to the area, primarily to the attraction.
To provide the company with monthly updates on initiatives implemented, business generated and general market intelligence. Report on marketing effectiveness monthly using data and smart metrics.
Taking ownership of the attraction website, ensuring the digital ‘shop window’ to the attraction is up to date, providing the best possible UX to drive conversions with on-brand & SEO enhanced copy, to support search rankings.
Working with digital agencies to create effective paid digital media campaigns that target both international and domestic tourists, filtering them through to conversion.
To work closely with the PR agency to ensure the attraction’s profile is maximized through earned media both regionally, internationally and within the industry.
Acting as the ambassador for the attraction, able to promote the positive reputation both as a ‘must see’ visitor attraction, but also as a responsible business within the local community, from both a CSR and sustainability perspective.
To undertake market research exercises as required and to input market research data gathered from the guests exit research questionnaires.
To manage and maximise engagement across all ‘post visit’ channels to help drive word of mouth, reputation and referrals via social channels, blogs, Trip Advisor and Google my business etc.

Key skills and experience required:

You’ll be a creative and experienced marketeer, with a track record in leading successful campaigns across a broad range of channels including digital, print and direct marketing, driving commercial growth. You will be a people person who loves making connections and meeting new people.

Ideally, you’ll come from a tourism, hospitality or leisure background or similar B2C background.

The ability to analyse and interpret trends, manage budgets and measure the cost/benefits of your activities is a must. In addition, you will have strong organisational and planning skills, able to work at a fast pace, managing multiple projects at the same time. Commercially minded, we are looking for someone who is great at spotting a new opportunity to drive revenue growth through new events and product packages.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the development and delivery of the Great Tapestry of Scotland Marketing strategy whilst ensuring the charitable focus of the Live Borders’ Marketing and Communication strategy to internal and external stakeholders. Develop and deliver a commercial events programme.

Duties include:
1. Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration across national and international markets.
2. Identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
3. Analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
4. Conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies.

Purpose of the role
The purpose of the role is twofold: drive growth in voluntary income and maximise the
number of people we provide science engagement to.

Duties
• Strategic leadership – You will form a key part of the senior
leadership team, working closely with the Board on strategy and
delivery for all charity matters.

• Membership management and supporter care – You will be
responsible for managing engagement products that build repeat
visits and sustainable income, such as themed events and
membership. To achieve this you will lead on CRM and EPOS
strategies, supported by technical teams, to ensure we are a data-
driven, data secure organization that personalizes its offer and
builds lasting relationships with key audience groups.
• Budget management – You will be responsible for an income and

Essential skills
We are looking for a strong leader. You will have a proven track-record for generating income from fundraising, as well as building a strong brand through effective marketing:

2. Fundraising experience – you will have experience at developing a
fundraising strategy, and understanding how different income

This role plays a pivotal part in the Brand Homes Team. The Head of Sales and Marketing (Gin) drives and implements the sales strategy and delivers the business sales targets for Edinburgh Gin Brand Home. The position will be responsible for annual sales targets achieved through provision of world class, on-Brand experiences, events and retail at our distillery and in-house retail store, attracting the ideal consumer with which to instigate and nurture long term, profitable relationships with the Edinburgh Gin Brand and its home.

Key responsibilities include:

Leadership & People Management
• Lead the Brand Homes sales and marketing team (Gin) ensuring activity is delivered in line with BH best practice and aligned to IMD company culture, ethos and values, whilst carefully retaining the brand specific look and feel.
• One to one coaching and development of reports, upskilling team members in terms of best operational and management practices

* Develop promotional assets, including photography and video, ensuring brand consistency, value for money and quality
* Be a main point of contact for the media
* Handle sensitive and confidential information, advise and adhere to embargoes
* Ensure factual accuracy to the highest possible standards, adhering to legal and ethical requirements within the media and wider communications
* Work may be required outside of normal office hours, e.g. to cover the arrival of an animal
* Provide an on-call service outside of normal office hours on a rota basis, including working weekends while on call, and ad hoc cover as required

Dundee Science Centre is currently looking for a confident, creative individual with exceptional digital communication skills to join our team in a full-time capacity.

You will create engaging content for Dundee Science Centre’s social media presence and deal with the day-to-day administration of the marketing function at DSC, including clerical tasks, marketing, and operational event activity. You will analyse campaigns, collaborate, and share design ideas, conduct market research, collate results, and compile statistical information. You will be exceptional with social media and systems in general as a large part of your role will be administration.

Hours of work are negotiable, flexible working will be considered, with weekend and evening work required.

As part of a team responsible for building the profile of National Museums Scotland through media and digital channels, you will drive visits to our four national museums and our website through the delivery of specific media relations and communications campaigns. You will do this through creating compelling media materials, events and photo opportunities, filming facilitation and managing external agencies working on our behalf. Targeting a range of media and developing partnerships which extend reach will form part of your remit as will responding to media enquiries.

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) you will have knowledge of applied and strategic media relations and best practice in the world of media relations and communications. It is vital that you have significant relevant practical experience in the field which includes creating compelling media materials and statements, managing sensitive media and communications issues, and acting as a spokesperson, preferably gained within a cultural setting.
